Trenitalia France, part of the FS Italiane Group, has placed a €2 billion order with Hitachi Rail for 19 new high-speed trains, earmarked for an ambitious expansion across Europe including a confirmed Paris-London connection by 2029. The investment includes train construction, long-term maintenance, and is set to create approximately 2,000 jobs.
